Nursana — your whole nursing career, in one calm place
Nursana is a free, nurse-first app that gathers the tools a working nurse normally scatters across a dozen places: point-of-care calculators, licence and certification tracking, an on-shift brain sheet, wellbeing check-ins, schedule and fatigue flags, exam practice, pay estimators, a private advocacy record, and a community of verified nurses. It runs in a browser and on Android, and the parts you reach for mid-shift keep working with no signal.
The nine modules
- Calculators — drip rates, weight-based doses, vasopressor infusions, creatinine clearance, BMI and unit conversions, all offline.
- Credentials — every licence and certification sorted by soonest expiry, so a renewal never surprises you.
- Brain Sheet — an on-shift patient and task tracker that stays on your device and is cleared when the shift ends.
- Wellbeing — short, shift-aware check-ins for your own tracking, with crisis resources one tap away.
- Schedule — the shifts you actually work, with fatigue and turnaround flags.
- Practice — NCLEX-style questions with written rationales for students and new grads.
- Finance — educational pay, travel-contract and budgeting estimators.
- Advocacy — a private, on-device record of unsafe assignments and incidents.

Built nurse-first, not employer-first
Most clinical software is bought by an institution and handed to you. Nursana is the other way round: it belongs to the nurse holding the phone, and nothing in it reports upward to a manager. There is no employer dashboard, no productivity score, and no staffing marketplace.
You can use every offline tool without an account. Signing in with Google is optional and exists for one reason — so your credentials, wellbeing entries, shifts, practice progress and finance notes can follow you to a second device.
Where your data lives
The brain sheet and the advocacy vault never sync. They are held on the device, and no copy is written to our servers — that is a design constraint in the code, not a promise in a policy page.
The other modules are local-first: they work signed out and stay on the device until you choose to sign in, at which point that module can also sync to your own account.
What this does not do
Nursana does not give medical, legal or tax advice. Calculators are a second check on your own arithmetic, never an order; the finance tools are educational estimates, not tax guidance; the advocacy vault is a documentation tool, not a lawyer. It is not an EHR, not a documentation system of record, and not a place to store patient names.
Frequently asked questions
Is Nursana free?
Yes. Every module is free to use, no card is required and no subscription is being charged today. If a paid tier is ever introduced, it will be announced before anything changes.
Do I need an account?
No. The calculators, brain sheet, wellbeing check-ins, schedule, practice questions and finance estimators all work signed out. An account only adds cross-device sync and the community.
Does Nursana work without internet?
The offline tools do. Hospitals have dead corners, so the calculators, brain sheet and other on-device modules are built to work with no connection. The community needs a connection because it is a shared conversation.
Can my employer see what I put in Nursana?
No. There is no employer view, no manager account and no reporting to a hospital. Nursana has no relationship with your employer.
Is Nursana a replacement for my hospital charting?
No. It is a personal companion. Anything that belongs in the medical record still goes in your employer systems.
