Community (NurseCircle)
NurseCircle is a question-and-answer space for nurses across specialties: the practical questions that do not fit a policy manual, answered by people who have actually stood in that room. It is the one part of Nursana that needs an account and a connection, because it is a shared conversation rather than a private tool.
What it is good for
- How something is really done on a unit like yours, as opposed to how the policy describes it.
- Specialty transitions — what a nurse moving from medical-surgical to critical care actually needs to know.
- New-graduate questions that feel too small to ask on shift.
- Career and workload questions where hearing several honest answers helps more than one.
Community ground rules
No patient identifiers, ever. Describe a clinical situation without describing a person, exactly as you would in a case discussion.
Answers from strangers are perspective, not orders. Your own policies, your charge nurse and your judgement outrank anything posted here.
Why an account is needed here
A shared feed means content is stored on a server rather than your device, so posting requires signing in. The offline modules deliberately do not, and nothing you keep private elsewhere in Nursana appears here.
What this does not do
The community does not provide medical advice, and no answer in it is a substitute for your policies, your charge nurse or your own assessment. It is not moderated around the clock, it is not anonymous in the way the wellbeing module is, and it is not a place to discuss identifiable patients or name an employer in a dispute.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to read the community?
Posting requires signing in because content is shared and stored on a server. The rest of Nursana works without an account.
Is the community anonymous?
No. Unlike the wellbeing module, community posts are attributed. Write with that in mind.
Can I ask about a specific patient?
No. Describe the clinical situation without any identifiers. Posts identifying a patient do not belong here.
Is advice from the community clinically reliable?
Treat it as perspective from colleagues, not instruction. Your policies, your charge nurse and your own judgement come first.
