About Nursana
Nursana is an independent app for nurses, built by Ahsan Mahmood. The name joins "nurs-" with the Latin "sana", to heal. It exists because the tools a nurse needs for their own career — licences, bedside math, a brain sheet, somewhere to note a bad shift — are scattered across a dozen apps that were mostly designed for the institution rather than the nurse.
What it will not become
- Not a staffing or gig marketplace — nurse-side tools only.
- Not an employer dashboard: nothing in Nursana reports on you to anybody.
- Not a seller of your data. There is no advertising business here to feed.
- Not a source of medical, legal or tax advice, however convenient that would be to claim.
Independent, and free at launch
Nursana is not funded by a hospital system, an agency or a staffing company, which is what makes the previous list possible to keep. Every module is free today, no card is required, and support is voluntary.
What this does not do
Nursana is a small independent product, not a clinical system. It is not certified as a medical device, is not integrated with any EHR, and cannot answer questions specific to your employer, your board or your jurisdiction.
